Kickoff in the Stockholm Archipelago

We had the pleasure of planning and delivering a conference and kickoff trip to Sandhamn in the Stockholm Archipelago, welcoming participants from several countries including guests traveling all the way from Australia. The program combined sailing based team building, productive meetings and social experiences in one of Sweden’s most unique coastal settings.

The kickoff began early in the morning at Bullandö Marina where the group was divided into teams and assigned sailboats with experienced skippers. With sunshine, fresh sea breeze and open water ahead, the participants set course for Sandhamn. The sailing quickly turned into a natural team building activity where collaboration and strategy played a central role. Lunch was served on the cliffs along the way, a simple yet memorable break by the sea.

Upon arrival, the group checked in at Sandhamn Seglarhotell, a seaside hotel offering comfort, conference facilities and beautiful archipelago views. The evening continued with a three course dinner in the Captain’s Dining Room followed by exclusive access to the hotel’s spa, creating a relaxed and social atmosphere.

Day two began with an optional morning run along the waterfront followed by breakfast and conference sessions. In the afternoon participants could choose between sea kayaking, a historical island walk or a match on the padel court.

The final evening took place at Dykarbaren with great food, music and a vibrant atmosphere. The night ended with a fun Swedish classic, boiled hot dogs and chocolate milk (Pucko), a combination that impressed the international guests.

The trip concluded with a scenic boat journey back through the Stockholm Archipelago to Bullandö, ending two inspiring days by the sea.

We were responsible for planning and delivering the entire event, from logistics and activities to conference setup and evening arrangements. Through local expertise and a strong network in the archipelago, we created a seamless conference experience where meetings and memorable moments came together.
